Church ministry in Mexico was something we knew would happen at some point, but we were waiting for God’s timing. It wasn’t until reading Matthew 28 and a few passages in Exodus that we were both 100% sure that now is the best time. Facu has a long history with Mexico, and I’ve only visited but my family ties have naturally made me love it too. Guadalajara is the second largest city in Mexico with 5,000,000+ people in the Metropolitan area. This includes Tlaquepaque, which is where we’ll help start a church plant alongside fellow CTEN missionaries who are also dear friends of ours. Our final month in Argentina will be this July, and then we’ll spend 6 weeks in the States raising the financial support that we need. This is a big step of faith, and we’re so thankful for your prayers!
September 13th: our official arrival date in Mexico.

We got COVID in the Patagonia, isolated for 11 days in one room with only a bathroom and a toddler! So that was an adventurous way to start the “summer”. Jan & Feb we spent volunteering in Word of Life’s Pichi Traful Hotel, in the Patagonia of Argentina. And many people experienced God in beautiful ways because of this ministry, some for the first time! Facu helped lead the Maintenance work area, and mentored a few other guy volunteers during those months (photo).

Sofi, Meli, Pauli, Deni,
Jhorgi, Ludmi, Astrid…
Over 2 years went by without mentoring anyone, since my season of depression and Kenya’s birth were back-to-back. At the WOL Hotel in Jan & Feb I was only meant to disciple one girl, but others approached me wanting to talk one-on-one as well. It feels very different now. Since becoming a mom, I now really see these girls as if they were my daughters. And maybe it was the depression or the pregnancy, but I find myself moved to tears a lot more frequently when I hear their stories. You’ll also see aprons in a photo above, because I co-lead the Wait Staff in Pichi Traful. Kenya sometimes also helped us set tables for the guests, or she was with Facu, or other volunteers.

“Where sin abounded, His love was stronger.” Lyrics we sang on Easter at our church.

“There’s no wall You won’t kick down, lie You won’t tear down, coming after me.” Lyrics we sang with the Word of Life Opening Weekend Conference’s praise team.
Please pray for us
- All the legal paperwork. We’ll all be foreigners in Mexico! There’s a possibility I could acquire my Mexican-American dual-citizenship through my mom.So please pray for that, and Facu & Kenya’s processes of becoming legal in Mexico.
- Financial support. When we move to Mexico, our financial goals will move as well. Please pray for God to provide all that we need.
- Raising Kenya Victoria Puentes. She turns 2 in July but now she’s already entering toddlerhood and we would love prayers for wisdom, pacience, self-control, and discernment!

Thank you for your partnership, both to those of you who are praying and those who are giving support. We are extremely grateful!
